At level B1 you can communicate in a simple and connected way in everyday situations, while travelling and when talking about topics that are of personal interest. You can describe experiences, hopes and ambitions and give reasons for opinions. On the whole you can use the most important grammatical structures correctly.
What is the structure of the telc B1 exam?
The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. Before the oral exam you have 20 minutes preparation time. The written and oral exam usually take place on the same day.
The written test consists of the following components:
- Reading, vocabulary and grammar (90 min.)
- Listening comprehension (30 min.)
- Writing (30 min.)
After a break there will be the oral exam. You will sit this exam usually with another person. Meaning there will be two of you taking the exam at the same time. It will take around 15 minutes.
