Germany is one of them. But it hasn\u2019t always been like that. How was it possible for Germany to develop (luckily) to the democracy of the present state; having overcome the Great War and World War II, the National Socialism, the economic crises, and having entered the era of globalisation? What is to expect from the future? This exhibition displays the history of the German Parliament and the evolution of democracy after national socialism, over 5 floors.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The following eras are displayed in the exhibition:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 1: <strong>Early<\/strong> German parliamentarism and the revolution of 1848\/49<\/li>\n<li>Level 1.1: <strong>Parliamentary democracy in Germany<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Level 2: Parliamentarism in imperial Germany and in the <strong>Weimar Republic<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Level 3: The <strong>National Socialist state<\/strong> and sham parliamentarism in the <strong>GDR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Level 4: Cinema, pupils\u2019 project room<\/li>\n<li>Level 5: Parliamentary <strong>architecture<\/strong> in Germany<\/li>\n<li>Tower level 5: Special exhibition \u201c<strong>The Deutscher Dom<\/strong> \u2013 A building in constant change\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<div  class='hr av-av_hr-dcd2069817a0e3d34ae04cad8f3443c7 hr-default  avia-builder-el-6  el_after_av_textblock  el_before_av_textblock '><span class='hr-inner '><span class=\"hr-inner-style\"><\/span><\/span><\/div><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-35972167d9f102c5ddaec0c531c98b9e '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Free guided tour:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Where do you want to go? We could also take part in a <strong>30 minutes guided tour<\/strong> about one of your favoured topics from that exhibition. Tours will be primarily in <strong>German<\/strong>. On request, we could also get into an <strong>English <\/strong>guided tour. Are you interested?<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Deutscher Dom in Berlin:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The exhibition is located in a very special place, it is the Deutscher Dom <strong>(German Cathedral) at the Gendarmenmarkt<\/strong>, opposite of the Franz\u00f6sischer Dom (<strong>French Cathedral<\/strong>). The <strong>Piazza del Popolo in Rome<\/strong> served as a model for the two symmetrical dome towers (diameter of 13m). Whereas the design is inspired by the <strong>Panth\u00e9on in Paris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In 1943<\/strong> the Deutscher Dom was almost completely destroyed in the bombing of Berlin and was subsequently <strong>rebuilt until 1996<\/strong>. In the same year it was re-opened.<\/p>\n<p>We can look forward to a very special exhibition, which has already welcomed about a million visitors. You\u2019ll need a Berlin <strong>train ticket AB<\/strong> (2,80\u20ac).
