Berlin is the kind of place that, as I’ve written about last week, has something for everyone. The
“try it” attitude and non-judgmental, open and creative energy here is very inspiring for the kind of person who wants to feel totally at ease to be themselves, even if they are a newcomer. This is what makes me want to come back again and again here – because I feel like I can be myself.
It has been amazing hearing German spoken around me and understanding more and more of
it, as well as discovering what so many of the signs, announcements, menus, and more mean
around my environment. I always love how language learning is like a puzzle that slowly gets
revealed with each new step you attain.

Deutschklasse is in session! Just checked in at my German school here in Berlin, Kapitel Zwei. So organized and a great first impression. Really cool people here. DAY 1! Here outside the Berliner Zeitung (newspaper) building where my school is. Deutschklasse is in session.
First day of class a success! I LOVE my teacher Frau Marion. Class moved quickly and we dove right into grammar structure, my favorite part. She knows so many languages and keeps things flowing. У меня очень много увлечений. И одно из них это японская культура. Недавно мне посчастливилось попасть на день открытых дверей в центр японско-немецкой культуры. Это отличная возможность найти островок японской культуры в Берлине.
Невозможно жить в Германии и не смотреть футбол! Даже если вы, как и я, приехали из другой страны и футбол раньше толком то и не смотрели, в Германии вас неприменно затянет в футбольную фан-зону.
