One year ago, I was studying in Munich and I was deciding where to spend my next summer holidays. I absolutely fell in love with Munich so my choice was pretty sure. But then I started thinking about discovering another city such as Stuttgart, Hamburg or Frankfurt. My friends highly recommended me Berlin. Even though I was there few times before, I never loved this city at all. I couldn’t get rid of picture of Berlin in my head full of party animals loving techno, hipsters drinking Club Maté and we children from Bahnhof Zoo.

When I booked a German course in Berlin I can’t really explain why, maybe I had a blackout. And thank God, I did it and gave this wonderful city second chance. Berlin is offering limitless possibilities of everything, it’s a city with rich history, beautiful buildings, wonderful street art, amazing people, delicious food, with its own atmosphere, culture and heart. It’s different than any other city in Germany, it’s like a state in the state.

I’m really glad that I gave Berlin another chance and I completely changed my opinion. It’s definitely on the list of the best and coolest cities in the world together with London and New York. After I finished my German course I have decided to stay longer, not only days but months (maybe years).

I’m excited what Berlin brings new to my life. When my friends ask me: „How is Berlin?“ I’m always answering: „I can’t explain, you need to live it through“.
