Historical Christmas market on the RAW grounds!
Excursion with your German language school in Berlin
Historical flair, old crafts and special food and drinks: go to the historic Christmas market on the RAW grounds in Berlin-Friedrichshain – with your German language school on Wednesday, 19 December! The RAW site is a 150-year-old factory site, with many clubs residing there today, as well as art and cultural events taking place.
If you’re in Germany around Christmas time, a visit to a historic Christmas market is highly recommended – and really beautiful! At the historic Christmas market in Berlin-Friedrichshain, artists and craftsmen show their skills – for example potters, blacksmiths, wood carvers and artists. Of course you can also buy special Christmas presents here!
If you’re free of vertigo, we’ll ride together on the hand-operated wooden carousel or on the wooden giant wheel – but you can also challenge your classmates from the language course and prove yourself in “old” activities such as archery, axe throwing and knife throwing (!)! Who dares?
Of course you will also find something to eat and drink: besides the “Feuerzangenbowle” and the mulled wine you will be able to taste the medieval drink “Met“, a honey wine, which in Germanic mythology is known as the “drink of the gods“. At one of the numerous fireplaces we can sit together for a round of Met!
We would be happy if you accompanied Kapitel Zwei and immersed yourself in the medieval flair of the historic Christmas market with us!
