Chilling in the park and open-air cinema in Friedrichshain
Exciting nights with your German language school in Berlin
Fancy a warm summer night out? Before autumn arrives, Kapitel Zwei wants to spend another chilled evening in Berlin with you. This includes of course, cold drinks, nice people, a nice view of park and the cinema screen.
On Monday, the 27th of August, we will meet at 7pm directly at the fairy tale fountain in the west of the Volkspark Friedrichshain. We will start off by sitting down on the green and admire the stone sculptures from GRIMMS fairy tales (for example The Puss in Boots, Hans in Luck, The Seven Ravens, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Brother and Sister, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty). Who can identify them?
After or even during this little intellectual excursion, our bodys will be supplied with fluids – be it through drinks, cold showers from the fountain, spray deodorant or soap bubbles. Your imagination knows no bounderies. If you have a picnic blanket, you are welcome to bring it.
Then we will walk through the park to the open-air cinema, where from 8.30pm the German feature film “Oh Boy” with Tom Schilling will be screened, in the hope that we will understand the Berlin dialect and learn “how to order proper coffee“.
The film won the German Film Prize in six categories in 2013, it is filmed in black and white and accompanied by jazz music. It is about an ex-student from Berlin, who drifts aimlessly through Berlin and gets into different situations – whether funny or tragic.
Registration – Meeting point – Costs
Admission to the cinema is 7.50€ and must be paid in advance in the office by Friday, 24th August 3.30pm. We will order the tickets in advance online.
We’ll meet at the Fairy Tale Fountain at 7 p.m. on Monday! Look out for a Kapitel Zwei shield!
We look forward to a nice summer evening with you. Bring your friends or come on your own.
