A cool blonde in the beer garden?!

Join us at the regulars’ table (Stammtisch) on the RAW grounds

On Thursday 13 June we expect wonderful spring weather. What does that mean for us? Off to the beer garden after your German course! From 7.30 pm we will enjoy our well-deserved beer on the famous RAW grounds in Berlin-Friedrichshain. We are welcomed by the private house brewery “Schalander” in House 9.

The drinks menu offers Helles & Dunkles (light & dark) beer, Obergäriges Weißbier and also non-alcoholic beers from the bottle! For all those language students who do not like beer, there is also wine, water or long drinks, of course! As long as mum approves! 😉 We can’t wait!

By the way, your German language school team wondered for a long time what “Schalander” means. Thanks to a well-known online encyclopaedia, we can tell you that the word refers to the room in a brewery where the “workers could change their clothes and stay during breaks or hold banquets or meetings”. Perfect for us hard-working students from the language course in Berlin – because during the day our heads are spinning from German grammar and new expressions, from enthusiastic teachers and homework. Right? If you can answer the question with “Yes”, you’ve come to the right place!

Take note of Thursday, June 13th, in the second week of the course! Join people from your German course, or bring friends from outside the language school or come alone. Nobody stays here alone! Great word of honour! Many long-term friends and even WGs (people sharing apartments) have already found each other!

We will meet on Thursday, June 13th at 7.30 pm at the Schalander, Revaler Str. 99/House 9, 10245 Berlin.

You can take the S- or U-Bahn to Warschauer Straße and then walk 10min to the RAW building!
