On tour with Kapitel Zwei to the Panoramapunkt Berlin at Potsdamer Platz!

At this tour on Wednesday, 20th September at 3.15 p.m., we’ll reach a 360° view over Berlin within seconds! Where is that possible? At the Kollhoff-Tower at Potsdamer Platz!

We’ll experience a breath-taking panoramic view. The Berlin Television Tower, the Brandenburg Gate, the Memorial Church, the Reichstag building, the Federal Chancellery, the Bellevue Castle, the Berlin Cathedral, the Gendarmenmarkt, the Holocaust Memorial, and many more sights will be at our feet. There is nothing quite comparable to this viewing point in Berlin!

We’ll also visit the permanent open-air exhibition called “Berliner Blicke” (Berlin views/looks), which is situated on the 24th floor within the same building. There we’ll learn more about the history of the Potsdamer Platz, and discover very interesting details of the Berlin Wall, which separated East from West Germany. The tour stretches over two levels at a height of 100 metres.

Did you know, that the Potsdamer Gate was one out of 14 of the most important city gates, at which joy and sorrow lived side by side? The square developed from a green field into a cosmopolitan square. During war times, the luxury turned to a debris field, but after it had fallen into oblivion for a while, it regained its popularity and became one of Berlin’s well-known city centres again.

Whenever you’ll have enough of the lovely view and learning-about-history, you can enjoy a piece of cake or a cup of coffee at the Panoramacafé.
